A collaboration with Vanessa Coffey, ‘Newhaven Fishwives’ was made as part of Untaught to Shine, a partnership between Stellar Quines and the National Galleries of Scotland.
Newhaven Fishwives was about women in work, female friendship and women’s history, and was inspired by an early photograph by Hill and Adamson in the Portrait Gallery’s collection.
The Untaught to Shine performances took place on Thursday 8 & Friday 9 May 2014 at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery
Untaught to Shine was part of Creative Futures, a Creative Scotland talent development programme which aims to promote the professional development, capabilities, connectivity and ambitions of Scotland’s creative practitioners and organisations.
